BLOODSHED IN BENUE: Gunmen Burn Pregnant Woman, Butcher Son, Shoot Others

A pregnant woman, her son and several other people became victims of the yesterday's gunmen attack in a Makurdi neighbourhood.

The deceased were reportedly farming in Iwenge village at about 10am, when the bloody attack was launched.

The terrified youth of the affected area conveyed the corpses of the deceased farmers to the palace of the Ter Makurdi, Chief Sule Abenga, urging the officials to end the ongoing crisis.

They blocked the highway causing a several-hour traffic congestion.

Local police confirmed the incident, saying the investigation into the case has started.
