Patience Ozokwor
According to Patience who was recently in Kumasi to shoot ‘Mama Africa’, a Ghana-Nigeria collaboration, they are doing well producing movies in the indigenous language and they deserve to be encouraged.
Speaking during a press conference, the actress said, "I am glad things are changing in Africa, where Ghana is taking steps to use and trade with its local language through movies. Bollywood is second when it comes to movie making in the world. They use their local language to shoot, which tells you that it’s not bad for an industry to use local language to shoot movies.
"When one makes mistakes in English, the whole country laughs at the person, but we forget it’s not our language, but rather it’s the white man who forced us to learn it; so if Africa needs to grow, one of the things we can grow with is our language."

Bollywood is in second position because of the high quality of their producions. In some instances their VISUAL EFFECTS are better than those seen in Hollywood movies. They also spend money on elaborate scenery and are NOT AFRAID to use extra's in films.

Their films depict different aspects of their culture and their COSTUMES are fabulous. Its MUCH MORE than only language.

Nigeria is definitely catching up however it would be nice to watch movies outside the usual scenario's - juju, killings, lost and found love, and so on. Nigeria has a  HUGE HISTORY tell the world.

Lets try and TELL it.

More QUALITY  and less QUANTITY!
