Just a debate  y'all

Last week we had a debate concerning if sex workers should be legalized in U.S..and we had a speaker who's a social worker..who works with different people including sex workers. ..on this debate we had two groups pro and con..u take a side..so after the debate, the social worker who's our guest concluded that  there should be no discrimination against sex workers,  that they should be encourage and she is in support of it being legalized. Reasons are ,is easy to make money and those worker are not hurtin no one..after hearing that I got paused . She said so many things
But the debate is still going on and I wants to hear from u my nigerians. Should we decriminalize sex work? Should sex work be ligalized and regulated as accepted labor in the US or all over the world?

For me I'm against it because there are so many jobs out there a woman can do than sex worker..not having money is not an excuse for going into prostitution.... that the self worth of that woman is being reduce...what side are u on..plz there shiuld be no fighting here.....this is to educate ourselves

I am totally against it being legalized. Was it not the other day some people were agreeing, with a post someone made on here about one if the female delegates at the recent Nigerian Confab saying that women are the cause of corruption in Nigeria (which I vehemently disagree with, very stupid talk)? Well, prostitution would give another backing for the world to blame women for the problems of the world. Women have a role to play in society and selling their bodies is not something that will bring about any good in an already doomed world. We are living in a time where women are trying to bring themselves up to a certain level of respect in society where everyone will recognize their importance so prostitution will not help this cause. It won't encourage women to aim higher because degrading things like selling their bodies will only depreciate them. So a big NO to that legalizing prostitution of a thing. I'm even surprised a fellow woman would agree to that.

To me it should be legalised, A non-legalised business like prostitution has made lots of ladies out dia to loose dia lifes through kidnapping to using dem for rituals purposes. Etc. Most evil pple take advantage of them.  If its legalised it will be a bit hard for such evil pple to use dis ladies. Its like u drop ur life details and ID card b4 u pick a call girl home, aNytin happens to d lady u re in trouble.  (I heard dey do Dat in some part of jamaica and brazil).  That's my view.

prostitution should be legalized. it's one of the oldest professions in the world and whether we like it or not,
it is everywhere in every nation. Keeping tabs on prostitution, brothel locations and financial transactions would help a lot.

It does not matter if it is legalized or not…
…it is almost impossible to eradicate prostitution anywhere in the world.

To legalize might sound immoral but will reduce exploitation, human trafficking and unwarranted killings.
It will also be a form of revenue to the government one way or the other.
Some countries in Europe have red light districts… Holland is good example. Same thing is some states in America.

I hate prostitution it is a dirty job but I have more respects for prostitutes than our current politicians.
They the prostitutes are not looting the treasury.

Bross, if you have a problem with Benin people this is not the way to solve it, please stop antagonizing them, try to be civil, remember " if you want to smear somebody's face with mud, be prepared to soil your hands with dirt " a word is enough for the wise , thanks.
