My dear, so sorry...... If it was just the dogs I would have advised you to find some hobby for yourself just to make him see how it feels.....however beating you is unacceptable.....physical abusive should not be tolerated at all but if he is willing to change and go for counseling do give him a second chance at least for the sake of the kids......
My husband also loves his dog more than me.....I decided to love shopping, spending money......guess what, out of no where he started paying me more attention since my shopping was costing us too much
