Nigeria is in trouble. The trend now is whatever President Gooodluck Jonathan said, all those in government will start devising means to justify him. Jonathan said corruption is not high in Nigeria during his media chart and now the chairman of ICPC, Mr. Ekpo Nta, has come out to support that funny position.

In fact, the ICPC chairman is now giving us a different definition of corruption. He said this when a delegation from the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria visited the commission in Abuja to forge inter-agency partnership against corruption.

In the words of ICPC Chairman: “Stealing is erroneously reported as corruption. We must go back to what we were taught at school to show that there are educated people in Nigeria. We must address issues as we were taught in school to do.”

NTA claimed that Nigerians don't quite understand what constituted corruption, that Nigerians are ignorant.

The commission’s boss went ahead to compare what he said is the penchant for referring to theft as corruption to the ordinary Nigerian who often called a roadside mechanic an engineer.

Are you sure this man is not taking little alcoholic drinks?

Corruption is

1. POLICE MISCONDUCT - obtaining financial benefit and other personal gain.

2. JUDICIAL CORRUPTION - receiving and giving bribes, improper sentencing of convicted criminals, bias in hearings and judgements of arguments etc.

3. POLITICAL - abuse of public power, office or resources by elected officials for personal gain. For ecample EXTORTING. SOLICITING and OFFERING BRIBES!

I must have attended the wrong SCHOOL in NIGERIA because this is wjat I WAS taught CORRUPTION is!

I suppose now we should get ready to ELECT IBORI our next PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA on his RELEASE from JAIL in the UK!

corruption look more polished in the ear but when you called some one who steal from the government a thief he or she will feel ashame and embarrassed, and even an illiterate will understand it more, for example if some one said to you that nigerian's are corrupt most times u don't really feel embarrassed but if some one walked upto you and said nigerian's are thief's am sure you are not gonna feel okay. so for me is better to address a thief who steal money as a thief than calling them corrupt officials.

And oga, who told u I was referring 2 ur president? Pls read the write up properly b4 u quote something else. If the president is guilty,I'll still write. This is the only medium I can use 2 express my mind. A lot of people have died in this country due 2 corruptn. Many nigerians are wallowing in abject poverty bcos of the same corruptn. So if some1 comes 2 natnal t.v 2 give corruptn a different name, then that person needs his/her brain checkd, irrespective of the fact that he's the president.

Thank u. The simple truth is that they are the real thieves & not the man or woman that was burnt with tires on our streets.

if really that man said it,its advisable to ostracize that man to a  very big sea where he can not be living with human being ,whether u called it thief ,embezzlement, mismanagement all curbs as corruption ,as a leader whom the people entrust or bestow power to ,and eventually becomes the hope and the eyes of the people, later u take funds that belongs to the public without give an account to it ,that is dishonest ,probably refer to corrupt leader.
