A lot of young people are eager for an acting opportunity.
The presumption is that acting is easy so actors and they can excel better than what they currently see actors do in movies. But the reality is a completely different picture, as acting requires a lot of memorization of lines, and immersion of one’s self into the role to properly depict the message of the movie.
To that effect, John Dumelo has revealed how the roles he plays in movies affect him personally and made reference to a particular movie in which he acted as an aggressive husband:
“There was one time I was to act as an aggressive and abusive husband towards Nigerian actress Rita Dominic. I was given a script to act like an aggressive husband who was supposed to be beating his wife every day. The character had so much impact on me that by the time the shooting was complete – I became so aggressive. It took me some days to come to myself.”
John was indeed very aggressive in the movie that he mistakenly hurt Rita in the process and had to console her after the shooting was over
