Hello Accra, welcome the newest and coolest place to eat, Yard Bird! Located on the Spintex Road, Yard Bird is a place where American-style diner food meets Ghanaian spice within a fun and funky environment. It was officially opened with a star-studded launch on Friday.

With stars like Van Vicker, Emelia Brobbey, Prince David Osei, Omar Sheriff Captan, Chase Forever, Jeremie Van-Gorshong and other guests arriving to sample what the restaurant has to offer, the launch was spiced up with the live broadcast of Van Vicker’s radio show, Live From The Capital on Live FM, 91.9. Van’s no holds barred style of presentation created an atmosphere of calmness and fun for guests, as they delighted their palates with scrumptious chicken, plus spicy sides and sauces, burgers, cocktails and shakes!

The Yard Bird brand concept offers something pretty new in Accra – accessible, fresh and affordable fast food restaurants, with wide cross-generational appeal, and a place where customers can enjoy the most delicious food and drinks, engaging interiors, specialty added extras and great music.

Yard Bird offers the house specialty of fried chicken blended with their own spice shake – specially developed by renowned chef Andrew DiCataldo. The chicken itself is sourced from the very best that is globally available and accompanied by home-made sauces and mouth-watering sides including spicy rice, cornbread, crispy fried okra and Creole black eyed peas. House cocktails include fresh lemonade and Yard Bird’s secret special ‘Moonshine Hardshakes’ alcoholic milkshakes!

Yard Bird offers meal deals, family dishes and single, working lunches and more, all available to take away or eat in. Guests waiting in the take away area will be able to enjoy a game of table football, make use of the Yard Bird photo booth and have their picture placed on the Wall of Memories or text the ‘Secret DJ’ app to hear their current favourite track played on the Yard Bird juke box. Yard Bird is surely more than just an eatery, it’s a lifestyle!
