Amyotrohic lateral sclerosis (ALS) effects Nigerians as it effects other nationalities. Nigerians fly out to receive treatment in Europe and elsewhere - and it is through the kindhearted DONATIONS of people that medical research into such illnesses are possible. Remember the young British boy who died from cancer some months back - he raised millions of pounds for further research into curing cancer from his death bed. Nigerians (who are rich enough) fly out for cancer treatment. Without donations medical research will be non existent. And as long as we make use of medical facilities around the world we should join in helping spread awareness of different life threatening illnesses!

If Africans do not know the importance of washing their hands in this day and age  - I cry for the continent.   

If it had not been for the foreign media we would not have been aware of the Ebola attack.
