It all depends on the definition of what you understand by being submissive. But I would say that a man is blessed for having a woman who advices him on his excesses.

The Bible never instructed wife to be submissive to their husband only when their hubby show genuine Love for them. But say "wives should be submissive in every thing". The ideology of the feminist is that a man and his wife is equal. What a man can do, a woman can do better. Imagine a ship with two captains. Our mothers who were submissive really enjoyed marriage till death do them part. Today's feminist theory of equality wouldn't allowed a woman do the needful. The result is INCREASE IN DIVORCE.

Then that man is not worth to be an husband,he's still a boy not a man,a real man gets money,pays the bill and protects his family.If you can't do that then you are not a man enough to have a wife,you are still a boy,just because you are 30years old doesn't make you a man if you cannot do what a man should be capable of doing.A poor wretched man marries a poor woman,then when would poverty not continue to get promoted,lets approach and reduce poverty in Africa.
