A BRISBANE man has been granted bail for allegedly holding money in a bank account to fund terrorist activity in Syria.
Robert Louis Maestracci, 32, of Kingston, south of Brisbane, was arrested by counter-terrorism police from Queensland and the Australian Federal Police Thursday morning.
Magistrate Judy Daley granted the man bail subject to conditions on Thursday.
He is charged with dealing with proceeds where there was a risk a sum of money would become an instrument of crime under the Foreign Incursions Act at Runcorn on February 28.
It is alleged Maestracci was holding $7000 in a bank account to be used as an instrument of crime.
He was charged on Thursday and fronted the Brisbane Magistrates Court with lawyer Louisa Pink.
