As various awards are being held across the country, some celebrities have begun to air their views about the way these awards are being organized. First it was Nollywood actress, Clario Chukwura, who frowned at the way some bodies have messed up the rewarding system for entertainers through awards.

According to her, award organizers walk away with the money while the award winners go home with nothing, but worthless plaques that make no difference to the Executive Producers.

Clarion stated that It has become necessary to withhold Guilds’ endorsements for these award events until stipulated requirements are met; such as obtaining a license from the Conference of Nollywood Guilds for a fee, proof of prize for award nominees and winners, and a verifiable document of agreement signed by the guild of producers, and the association of marketers endorsing the award as a basis for increased value of the recipients.

Another celebrity joining the train of tongue lashing the awards organisers is Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu Johnson. She stated that Award is supposed to be free and fair but not in Nigeria, when someone does not like the face of a particular actor in their office, then their hard work is in trouble.

Well, as yet another awards is to be held recently, let’s see how well the organisers will help prove a point in the entertainment industry (Nollywood) industry.

Nothing is AWARDED on merit in Nigeria. From the post of presidency down to local councillors.
Its All about who you KNOW, how MUCH money you have, and WHICH part of the country has the "mandate" to "produce" the next president!
In Nollywood according to Toyin Johnson,  "when someone does not like the face of a particular actor in their office, then their hard work is in trouble." She should have pity on every Nigerian because for us it's the opposite - it's the people we do not like the face of that get into power!!!
