Super Eagles of Nigeria goalkeeper and captain, Vincent Enyeama has revealed that his club, Lille FC always puts him under close examination for at least three weeks whenever he returns from international duties due over Ebola fears of Ebola.
Speaking on the Ebola threat to the Africa Cup of Nations, the former Hapoel Tel Aviv goal keeper was quoted by Daily Mail to have said: ‘My club monitors me for three weeks any time I return from Nigeria because of Ebola and nobody wants to sit around you or shake (your hand) then.’ The footballer also said he would have loved it if the tournament was suspended but insisted if Nigeria qualifies he would play a part in the 2015 AFCON.
‘If I were CAF, I will suspend the tournament because it is difficult to contain. But if we qualify, I will play in the tournament,’ he added. Vincent Enyeama, who started his senior career with Ibom Stars in 1999 before moving to Enyimba in 2001 and his career has seen him have stints at Bnei Yehuda and Hapoel Tel Aviv, was called to the national team in 2002 and has so far made 95 appearances for Nigeria.
