Na Wa oh! See as small issue turn big trouble! According to News Agency of Nigeria, there was pandemonium in Owerri, Imo state, this morning as youths of Owerri Municipal killed an Hausa trader, identified as Saidu at Mbaise Road junction. Saidu was sent to his early grave over local revenue, which resulted in a heated argument between them.
The argument resulted to quarrels between the two parties, as the youths members insisted that the Hausa trader must pay their revenue levies for the place they stay to carry out their business. The trader, who insisted that he would not pay immediately pulled out his weapon and stabbed one of the youths who in revenge immediately used a cutlass to cut the trader.
The situation almost stopped activities in Owerri this morning, as both traders and passers-by were running helter skelter fortheir dear life. The ugly situation continued till the police men intervened.
The Vice Chairman Arewa Consultative Forum (AFC), Imo State Chapter Alhaji Mohammade Abubakar Tola confirmed the incident.
