If what the Lagos State Police Public Realtions Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu has said is anything to go by, then the ‘baale’ of Ikola Ilumo Community, Chief Abeeb Lawal who assaulted his wife, Bose Lawal, is about to be charged to court.

Remember we had reported the story here, but the report we got was that, Bose was the one speaking on the phone when the ‘baale’ asked her to lower her voice and she refused because she didn’t hear him? Well Punch now reports that it was actually the ‘baale’ himself that was speaking on the phone, when Bose his wife came to greet his mom who was standing beside the ‘baale’ while he was receiving an important call, he asked her to lower her voice but she ‘refused’ and that was how the whole trouble started. The ‘baale’ also denied to Punch ever touching Bose, but said he only threw a chair at her and the stab wound she said she has on her back was due to an injury she got from a door when people were trying to calm her.

Anyway, his explanations and that of what Bose had earlier narrated are totally different. Bose accused him of beating her to a pulp, throwing a chair at her and finally stabbing her with a broken bottle when he was not satisfied with the way he had earlier beaten her. He left her when she collapsed and was rushed to the hospital after losing so much blood from the stab wound. That was Bose’s explantion. Here’s what the ‘baale’ told Punch anyway.

“I had four wives but two have left. Bose is currently the senior wife. If I buy things for her and my junior wife, she won’t be satisfied. She does not want to see me with any other woman.

“She doesn’t give me due regard being the head of the house. She goes to parties without my permission. When her behaviour became unbearable, I abandoned her for eight months. In fact, I have decided to divorce her because I am fed up.

“That fateful day, I was on a very important call when she started making a noise. I signalled to her to lower her voice, but she refused. I just threw a plastic chair. Unfortunately, it hit her and she was slightly injured.

“I begged her. My mother, visitors and neighbours also pleaded with her, but she did not listen. She abused and chased me around the house, but I did not touch her.

“I later decided to go to my office to let peace reign. While I was there, I was called that she had injured her back on a glass door while she was resisting those who were trying to calm her.

“I went to her family house and begged her to no avail. It was a friend of mine in London, who called me that he saw my wife’s picture online.”

Learn  how to write good english."They aren't different with animal is not good enough." Which kind school  did you attend? You must have been a product of  Oko Poly in Anambra State. To make your matter worse, the person you identified with among the Yorubas (Fela) definitely tells us the kind of person you are, a drug addict, runaway kid, and a person high on some cheap drugs.
