Hello, My Husband Muruf and I would like to replace our wedding rings that we bought when we were married, He got them in Egypt, and they are of poor quality. so we were thinking of comparing prices to what is available in Nigeria, We will either buy them when I get there in November, or We'll buy them here, in the us. but we need to know what is available there, do they have gold bands? or something with a Yoruba pattern on it? what is the price ranges? can anyone answer these questions?
You can get a good one at Mega plaza in Lagos. The price range depend on the carat... for 18 carat white gold, you can get a single band for 45k.

Thank you Resi, is that 45k Naria or usd?

and for those who don't know, as Resi does, . . .
yes there are three colors of gold depending on what other metals they mix with it.
Pure gold is of course gold, but it is too soft to use as a ring that way, so the must mix it with other metals to make it strong enough. jewlers often mix it with silver or other metals to make white gold or red gold, and that is usually 18 carrat.

the highest carat gold for a ring is 24 carrat, because pure gold is softer than any other metal and can be molded by hand. it is too soft to make a ring from.
