APC's  Vice Presidential Candidate ,Prof Yemi Osinbajo, (SAN),  has once again rubbished reports that Buhari wants to Islamise Nigeria.

The professor said this in a town hall meeting yesterday at Ikosi-Ketu area of Lagos.According to him it is impossible to either Christianise or Islamise the country.

His words :
Quote
“Let me explain one thing to you, it is not possible to Islamise Nigeria. It is not possible to Christianise Nigeria. Nigeria has a constitution which states clearly that there cannot be a state religion in the country.
“It is the duty of government to ensure that every Nigerian is able to worship in whatever way he wants to worship and at anywhere he desires. Buhari’s administration will ensure that if you are a Christian, you are able to worship freely wherever you want to worship.
“If you are a Muslim, you will worship wherever you want to worship. His business as the president of the country is to provide security for your life and security for your property. Nobody Can burn a church, nobody can burn a Mosque and go scot-free. Such a person must be punished.”

Osinbajo said while Buhari was a Military Head of State, his vice, Late General Tunde Idiagbon was equally a Muslim and were both approached to join Islamic state but he refused.
Quote
”Buhari was a military president at the time and could do if he liked then. When he did not do it at the time, how can you say now that he would do it in the civilian administration. All that is just PDP propaganda.
“Let us ask them, General Buhari’s cook of 25 years and his driver are both Christians. If he could not Islamise them, how will he be able to Islamise me or Dr. Mamowora, it is not possible.
“Even while he was a Military Head of State, almost 70 percent of his cabinet were Christians. Almost all his misters were Christians; except four of them. They really don’t have anything to say and all they need do now is park their bags and baggages and leave,”
he said.

We should remember it waz BUHARI who SNEAKINGLY upgraded Nigeria's status in the OIC (Organisation of Islamic Conference) to full status in the 1990's.

What will stop him from doing worse if sworn in as president of Nigeria? We could become "Islamic State of Nigeria!"

False….!!!

Buhari was not in power or any position to do so in the 1990s
….perhaps you wanted to mention Babangida….
Buhari was in power from December 31, 1983 – August 27, 1985.
Buhari was in detention in Benin until 1988.
