A man who has been going around impersonating the police, Makinde Paul, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command.
According to the state's Deputy Police Commissioner, Haliru Gwandu, said Paul has been parading himself as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), using that to defraud unsuspecting people in and around the state.
But his time went up when he was arrested at the Adatan area of Abeokuta, the state capital.
The 54-year-old suspect confessed to the crime in tears, saying it was lack of employment that made him take up the job of impersonation to take care of his family.
He said he bought the uniforms from a friend who was a policeman before he died.
