
The 30th edition of the African Cup of Nations which started on Saturday, January 17, 2015 will end today, February 8, 2015 after a competitive involved involving 16 nations from the African continent. Previous champions of the continent, Nigeria, failed to qualify for the edition this year but tonight, a new nation will be installed as champion of the 2015 African Cup of Nations hosted by Equatorial Guinea.
Ghana and Ivory Coast will stand out tonight to combat on the football field with each of the two West African nations aiming to make it a glorious night for their fans a number of impressive games behind each of them. The last time they both played in the AFCON final was in 1992 when Senegal hosted the tournament with Ivory Coast ending up as the winning team of the night. Didier Drogba’s country defeated Ghana 11 – 10 on penalties and Africa waits to see if history will repeat itself or be overturned inside out.
