According to a reports, the newly posted Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, Joseph Mbu has threatened to take the lives of 20 people if any of his men are killed unjustly during the elections. AIG Mbu made the threat at a meeting with the Ogun State Command at its Eleweran Headquarters, Abeokuta.
“If one of my men is killed, I shall kill 20 of them but don’t shoot first. If they shoot you, shoot back in self-defence. Anybody who fires you, fire him back in self-defence. We are in a critical period. We are not para-military. We must be bold and brave. Keep an eagle eye on everybody. We are authorised by the constitution to arrest before, during and after election. Our role is to ensure free, fair and violence free election.” he said
AIG Mbu, is the same man who had a running battle with Governor Rotimi Amaechi when he served as Commissioner of Police in Rivers state.

If what is written is true, then we should try and understand the context.
He said 20 people will die for every policeman killed unjustly. If the policeman is killed justly, then no one will die.
If a policeman is killed during the course of collecting bribe or doing illegal duty, then no one will die.

What a stupid remark by an irresponsible police Man.if the life of one police man is worth 20 lives, then Borko haram could have been eliminated by now.How many police men had been killed by Borko haram? Then how many Borko haram have u killed? You should be arrested for issuing such a treat.
