I Would Give My Life to Stop Boko Haram Killings - Emir Sanusi Lamido

The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has said that he would sacrifice his life if it meant Boko Haram would stop killing innocent Nigerians.
The former Central Bank Governor said further that he has achieved everything he wants in life and as such doesn't mind dying.
Sanusi stated this during an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour which aired on Wednesday, March 18.
“First of all if I had a way of knowing what would happen if Boko Haram took my life they would stop killing people in Nigeria, then I will give up my life. I have nothing else to live for,” the Emir said.
“I have achieved everything I wanted to achieve. I think the important thing is for every Muslim leader to speak up and for the Muslims to let the world know that this is not Islam, for the society not to accept them and for the society not to give them accommodation for the state to protect the people to the best of its ability and for their genuine grievances to be addressed,” he added.
Boko Haram had earlier threatened to kill Sanusi after he urged Nigerians to defend themselves against the sect.

Is not about killing yourself in other to stop boko haram killings, now that the government has done their part in reducing their mayhem, I think the best thing for you as an emir and also the second in command of Islamic organization in Nigeria is to help preach against hate of other's religion and help promote peace instead of violence.
