Leader of the Adoration Ministries, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has temporarily suspended his weekly Friday crusade following the allegations of threat on his life. The cleric says every programme is hereby suspended till after the general elections. It was gathered that over 100,000 worshipers, who had trooped to the Adoration ground for worship were turned back last Friday following the cleric’s instruction. The preacher has been in the news following his controversial New Year Eve message where he called for the resignation of President Goodluck Jonathan over what he tagged failed leadership. The preacher had in his sermon said Jonathan’s government has brought bad luck to Nigeria, saying that another four years of the president would wipe out the entire country. While many Nigerians, especially the opposition applauded the sermon, others lambasted the man of God for preaching heresy. The priest later came out to declare that some persons were calling and threatening to take his life for calling for Jonathan’s removal. “Tell them I am not afraid of them. I have said what I was asked to say. The only word I have for them is Isaiah 54:15,17: “Surely they shall gather, but because the gathering is not of God, they shall scatter. No weapon fashioned against me shall prosper.”

My Rev. Fr. Mbaka, with all humility father, dont you think that if you are saying the right thing and according to you, it is a message from God, you need not be afraid of any human being? I am surprised that after criticizing Johnathan and his wife, you have started running when the war is yet to start. Why close your Adoration Ministry?

You guys I don't kno where you get your facts. The Father took a patriotic move towards the election by telling his followers not to come to adoration on Friday the night against election on Saturday. Pls that is the case. Or are you trying to discredit de government by accepting that De fathers life is under threat? pls I believe that politicians are more concerned with winning elections and not killing any one. So dat is de case. no adoration on Friday 27th march, 2015 cause of our election on Saturday, 28th march, 2015. pls let's learn to talk and say what is right. how else can we build our nation. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
