The Jigawa Independent National Electoral Commission Friday night announced the postponement of election of House of Representatives in seven out of the 11 Federal Constituencies in the state.

This was disclosed to newsmen by the Resident Electoral Commissioner Alhaji Haliru Tambuwel after a stakeholders meeting with political parties and security operatives.

Tambuwel told Journalists that they had to shift the polls in the affected constituencies because of lack of ballot papers in four constituencies while three had inadequate ballot papers adding that the commission in the state did not receive ballot papers for Dutse/Kiyawa, Ringim/Taura, Hadejia/Kafinhausa/Auyo and Jahun/Miga Federal Constituencies while ballot papers received by INEC for Gumel/Maigatari/ Sule-Tankarkar/Gagarawa, Gwaram and Kaugama/Malam-Madori federal constituencies were in adequate.

According top him election would only hold in four out of 11 Federal Constituencies.

The Jigawa INEC boss said polls would hold Saturday in Babura/Garki, Birninkudu/Buji, Birniwa/ Guri/ Kirikasama and Kazaure/ Roni/Gwiwa/Yankwashi Federal Constituencies.
