Police in Abia State Uncovers 1,333 Live Ammunition in Buried School Playground (PHOTO)

The Explosive Ordinance Department of the Abia State Police Command have discovered 1,333 live ammunition of 7.762mm long hidden in a School playground, located in Nkata- Ibeku, Umuahia North Local Government Area.According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Ezekiel Onyeke, pupils discovered the ammunition on the school’s playground.

“The EOD team exhumed 1,233 of 7.62mm. (Long) live ammunition from the dump. The police are still combing the environment to ensure that the area is cleared of arms and ammunition or other explosives,” Onyeke said.
He assured that investigation on the incident is ongoing. In the same vein, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Joshak Habila, revealed that it was in line with the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to flushing out criminals in order to maintain the safety of lives and property of citizens of the State.

If don't know u beta ask, ammunitions are bullets, bombs,grenades etc fired by (guns, launchers), rifles, guns, RPGs and kits r not "ammunitions"
