In another case of jungle justice, a suspected thief who was allegedly caught stealing a brain box from a parked car, was beaten to a pulp and set ablaze by a mob in the Apapa area of Lagos State this morning, August 19.
According to eyewitnesses, the ugly incident took place at Isikalu Street Junction, Olodi-Apapa, in Ajeromi/Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state when the young man was nabbed in the act of vandalising a car.
It was gathered that the thief was caught at about 4 am by some residents who, after beating him thoroughly, tied him down till about 6 am when other residents woke up and met him.
The angry crowd spontaneously set him on fire, ignoring suggestions that he be handed over to the police, with some believing that he would be set free by the law enforcement officers.
A man who witnessed the scene said the irate youth brought used tyres, petrol and a match box with which they burnt the thief, causing a snarl of traffic in the area.
He said:
“People in the area are not happy about how the brain boxes of their vehicles usually develop wings overnight. Many vehicles in the area have been vandalised and many of the parts removed."

Wow.

Do NOT steal.

Do NOT kill.

Two wrongs DO NOT make a right.

ONE man stole a car.

A MOB murdered him.

Petty thieves die badly, while big time thieves in the government smile to the bank without no query
