While some feel that the Ooni is mixing African traditional religion with Christianity, others think he is dishonouring his position by kneeling in church.

Any human being is less than an Ant in worth  in the presence of God. The Monach has done nothing wrong. What I'm bothered about is whether His Imperial Majesty is aware he cannot serve God and mammon at the same time.

Anybody who say such rubbish is a fool. Who is dis their voiceless god b4 d almighty GOD. How dare they compare GOD wit their wooden god. Dis is annoying. The new Ooni of Ife is a civilized man. He has practiced Christianity all his life, what make anybody think he would now stop praying to the same God who has made a man and a leader out of him? In this case, it is his call, and God knows who are His real people/followers. Way to go Ooni, and may the Grace of Almighty God continue to protect and guide your steps as u lead your people out of the age-long-slumbers.

Though I don't have to judge,Nobody is above GOD,weda u serve satan or lucifer,wen God wants you to be in His house,nobody go drag you,you will go there by yourself,the reason in his case is that everything involves in his throne is ritual&tradition,so people are worried that he should not serve two masters at a time,Maybe God want to use the ooni to change the primitive ways of their old lifestyle.
