Bayelsa State Governor's Sister Kidnapped By Unknown Gunmen

The Bayelsa State Police Command has confirmed that armed men on Saturday kidnapped the sister of the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson at Okaka Road within the state capital.

Nancy Dickson was said to have been kidnapped in broad daylight by four armed men who trailed her to her shop.

The gunmen stormed the shop and whisked her away to an unknown destination along with her salesgirl.

Police Public Relations Officer, Ansim Butswat, who confirmed the incident said that the Police were on top of the situation.

“On the 19th of December, 2015, at about 1450hrs, four unknown gunmen in an ash-coloured Lexus SUV, trailed one Nancy Keme Dickson, 26 years, to her shop at Okaka road, Yenagoa, and abducted her and her sales girl to an unknown destination,” Mr Butswat said.

According to him, security agencies were on the trail of the kidnappers as efforts have been intensified to arrest the abductors.
