Hoverboard Erupts in Flame With Rider Still on it (VIDEO)

By now, burning hoverboards are no longer news, but this is the first time that there has actually been footage of a hoverboard catching with the owner still on it.

Kevin Macleod says he charged his brand new hoverboard overnight and, as can be seen in the video, as soon as he takes it outside and tries to ride it, the device erupts in flames.
And it happens so fast that MacLeod barely escapes from being torched. Most burning hoverboard videos you see will probably involve a continuously burning hoverboard shooting out batteries but this one doesn’t do like that, although that might be because Macleod dumped a good amount of water on the device. Macleod doesn’t say what brand the hoverboard is, but you can see at the beginning of the video he can be seen taking the device out of a box that reads Smart Balance Wheel.
