Governor Ambode of Lagos State has moved a step forward towards tackling crime in the state by lighting up the nook and cranny of the city. The light up project is not only contributing to maintaining security in the state but also beautifying the area.

It should be recalled that Governor Ambode recently  faced criticism when the state was faced with high crime rate especially on the road. In a bid to tackle crime in Lagos,Governor Ambode donated security vehicles and equipment to security operatives. He also inaugurated the Lagos light up project headed by the deputy governor, Oluranti Adebule which has received positive reactions from Lagosians.

I hope this is not usual govt style of deceiving the public, they will tell the power supply to light up the street for them to take pics for advert after which the light will go off,and i hope is not 1 to 2 hrs light 5 to 10 darkness ? anyway Lagos deserve more than this is our right not a privileged.

Very good idea, but the problem is that those street lights are being powered by generator because of the power issue we have in the country.
