Nigerian workers this morning have begun a massive protest against the recent increase in electricity tariff. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and other affiliate unions are agitating against the recent increase in electricity tariff today. The workers explained that such action should be directed and targeted at the Federal Government and its agencies such as the Ministry of Power and the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). I hope Fashola is seeing this.  When he was appointed Minister of Power, Nigerians, especially Lagosians were happy.  We expected him to first ensure that at least, 90 per cent of Nigerians are given Pre-Paid Metres and an improvement in the supply of power.  Then any increase would be welcomed by Nigerians.  But he decided to increase the pains and sufferings of Nigerians who are already not happy with the crazy bill from PHCN. FASHOLA WHY?
