The literal meaning of Islam is peace. That's why Muslims great each other by saying Salam alaikum, which means Peace be upon you in English language. The Divine meaning of Islam is TOTAL SUBMISSION TO THE WILL OF GOD ALMIGHTY. Both Muslims and Christians are created by the same God, the Alpha and Omega, the Creator of both Heavens and Earth and whatever is in them. We are meant to respect and love one another because we are not enemies.
