Cry for Nigeria, a voice out of the wilderness for country so loved;
Cry for Nigeria, African giant fallen, degrading with no voice;
Cry for Nigeria, most populous African nation but cares least for her Citizens;
Cry for Nigeria, the oil rich nation with no benefits for her own people;
Cry for Nigeria, a country greased with corrupt leaders only for their pockets;
Cry for Nigeria, where dreams and realities are of the past;
Cry for Nigeria, the love for country drying low and dieing;
Cry for Nigeria, hatreds, fears and divisions rule;
Cry for Nigeria, UNITY in words and not by action
Cry for Nigeria, country divided and fallen;
Cry for Nigeria, the souls of her dead not resting;
Cry for Nigeria, children forgotten and elders pray to die;
Cry for Nigeria, many corrupt and guiltless;
Cry for Nigeria, her people, their wells of tears dried;
Cry for Nigeria, a call for action but hopes gone;
Cry for Nigeria, night too long and morning too far coming;
Arise O! Compatriots, Cry for Nigeria if you can.

Oh please!  What a crock.  Fix your F*cking country before you cry for it.  If you cry now, you cry for a broken, hollow, pathetic shell of a "country."
