Two pupils of New Vine International School, Mushin, Lagos, were flung out of a moving bus driven by the Proprietor, Mr. Ekezie Augustine, at Costain Roundabout, on their way from the National Theatre, Iganmu. Mr. Ekezie was promptly handed over to the Divisional Traffic Office, Iponri, by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, of Lagos State Police Command, for prosecution. According to school’s Principal, the affected pupils, Seunfunmi Oseni, 4, and Amira Otegbola, 6, were among the 20 that embarked on the journey. The children, who were rushed to Brickfield Medical Centre, at Ademuyiwa Road, Ebute Metta, were referred to Foremost Radiology, Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, for brain scan before further treatment. According to an official of Brickfield,
Quote
“the boy, Seunfunmi, sustained a lot of bruises on his head and leg. He has not walked since he was brought here. We feared he has injured his legs too. He is always folding it and he preferred to be carried.”
Further investigations revealed that the school was not registered with the authorities in Lagos and it had just relocated to its new address in Mushin. However, the Principal said certification of the school was being processed. He added that
Quote
“the children were over-excited and uncontrollable before the incident happened.”
About three teachers were reportedly with the children in the bus on the said day.

"Further investigations revealed that the school was not registered with the authorities in Lagos"... Which yeye authorities? Why do they have to wait till damage is being done before they conduct their yeye investigations? Unregistered schools are not in Sambisa forest or hidden somewhere in Chibok. Why not inspecting schools periodically to checkmate them. What a NATION

“the children were over-excited and uncontrollable before the incident happened.”...What sense does this make in this matter oga Principal? Were they drunk? Mostly, pupils are moody while going to school in the morning and got excited while returning home. Could the driver drive the car and at the same time coordinate the pupils? This is rather absurd
