Prime Minister Of Iceland Resigns – Pressure from the enormous document leak referred to as Panama Papers has forced the Prime Minister of Iceland to resign.
Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson’s resignatuion was announced by the country’s Minister of Agriculture and Fishing, Sigurdur Ingi Johannsson, with Gunnlaugsson becoming the first victim of the hack which exposed the tax evasion of many world leaders and celebrities.
Bukola Saraki Responds To Panama Papers Claims
Over 11.5 million documents were leaked in Panama Papers, with nearly 215,000 companies and 14,153 clients of Panamanian law firm Mossack & Foneca revealed to the world.
Other world leaders named in the hack include President Petro O. Poroshenko of Ukraine and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan. Football governing’s body, FIFA, was also named in the documents.
