Nigerian Tribune reliably gathered, on Monday evening, that the Fulani herdsman, now at large, murdered the judge at his residence, shortly after the judgment.
Sources also gathered that on the fateful day, the judge had reported for duty but went home after adjournment, only to meet his death.
The in-laws of the Fulani man had instituted a divorce suit before the area court in Yashikira over constant bashing of their daughter by her husband whom they described as a “rascal.”
The judge, it was gathered, after the hearing and careful deliberation of the case, reportedly granted the parents’ prayers.
Displeased with the ruling, the Fulani man allegedly resolved to “personally deal” with the judge.
It was gathered that at the close of work, when the court’s clerk and his deputy took books of the judge to his home, they met him dead, with his head already severed off his body.
When contacted on Monday, the spokesperson of the state police command, Dabo Ezekiel, confirmed the incident.
He said the command was yet to link anybody to the commission of the crime, adding that the remains of the judge had already been released for burial.
