The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ali Modu Sheriff, angrily stormed out of the venue of the party's meeting on Saturday after he was dethroned.

A former Governor of Kaduna, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi was named as the party's caretaker national chairman while Senator Ben Obi was named the national secretary of the party.
