Things started brightly for Nigeria when Julius Aghahowa powered home a header to give Nigeria a 1-0 lead. The Swedes later came back to win the game and effectively end Nigeria’s hopes of going into the second round.
Nigeria played out a goalless draw against England in the last group game and was knocked out of the competition,but a two stars were born.
