I am not in support of the government for pushing or trying to push fees up by such a wide margin but my major concern here is the way the students responded.
Someone please ask them if the supermarket they burnt down belonged to the government or will help their lot in any way. It was extremely foolish of them to have resulted to vandalism.
I think the time has come for us to behave more sensibly.
EKP students, Please grow up.
 Sad

U see, I don't believe in castigating government everytime. University education in Nigeria is sham because it's too cheap. This N100,000.00 is just a mere $650 dollars. All these schools we idolize even in nearby Ghana pay at least ten times more.
Let us look at ways students will be given scholarships to school that they will pay back after they finish schooling before they get their original certifictes. That is the way forward

In as much as I will not support the arbitrary increase in fees, I will also condemn the actions of the students and say it is quite uncivilized. Why on earth must they burn down supermarkets and fuel stations?. These are private business premises that do not have any bearing to the increase. If hoodlums infiltrate their midst and perpetrate this monumental crime is still accountable to the students. The police should do every thing in their power to bring all participants to justice, period!!

Mr President, Governors, Senators, Lga Chairmen, Militants,Yahoo Men, Political Office Holders,"Who is Who" in Government, have all their Kids overseas paying a minium of $6000 (six thousand dollars) per semester, so paying less then  $1000 ( a thousand dollar) is not too bad . Zeal to learn in school  which is characterised by strikes, unrest, and lack of job after all this stress is decaying on daily basis. Please check out our Universty rating.
