Its good to get married to balance your life .
One  who is always running will never lack followers...... when u are not married you are still on the road .... and

Also if you dont stand for something you may  fall for anything .

Its all about staying BALANCED in life  Loving and respecting yourself  foremost besides making your loved ones happy .  They like to see you prosper as its their pride .  Parents value the progress of their offsprings and its a honour to see them bloom and contribute meaningfully to life .

sorry if i sound like a preacher here .  am out here b4 it gets boring but poster i hope u pick a few pieces there  4 u

what is the point in looking responsible to the outside world and be unhappy in the house?....you don't need marriage to feel responsible...if u have good character, a good job and u respect urself, people will automaically believe you are responsible....and if u happen to get married, the better.

most people still feel something missing in themselves they get bored eazily and as age comes along they panic and start asking themselves if they are actually self accomplished these things become clearer through experience not "philosophising "  when you read peoples stories shared it reveals their innermost feelings at different stages of their lives .  People love to be happy and as u pointed out  charity begins at home-  this adds to the point of this thread

Our culture is one that tolerates intrusion into the private lives of others. With busy bodies and gossips around, a young lady's life becomes hell if at some point, say 30, she is still unmarried. Presently, some comedians are using this as a topic for their jests.

At 28 and no one has proposed, the babes are becoming desperate because some woman will use it to insult their mother who probably may have boasted with them, etc... and their mother begins to pile up pressure on her...

The whole thing then creates a multiplier effect such that our girls see it as the ultimate; a medal not to be toyed with and at times, applied to disastrous extents.

But generally, a woman's role finds ultimate fulfilment in marriage, but they should wait; it is the man that will marry them not the other way round!

Whatever happened to BUILD YOUR LIFE BEFORE YOU BECOME SOMEONE'S WIFE! Out the window I guess....it seems like every other second on facebook someone updates their status from SINGLE to IN A RELATIONSHIP to ENGAGAED and finally the M word MARRIED. Then they proceed to change their last names and upload photos of their three day ceremony. lol...
I am not hating or anything...I worry that marriage in Nigeria is more of trend than a sacred union...everyone is sooo caught up in the ceremony that I fear a lotta folks are signing up for wayyyy more than they can handle!
What do y'all think?  Huh?

Because they are dis empowered. The believe that they will become IMPORTANT with a man by their side..which is SAD!!
