The Lagos State Emergency Agency received an alert Tuesday, September 6th, regarding a flood incident at Akesan Igando involving Zion, Akeem Balogun, Ayeni streets etc, at about 1.05pm. This prompted the immediate activation of the Agency’s ERT to the scene of the incident.
Investigation conducted by the Agency’s ERT at the scene of the incident revealed that the cause of the flood was as a result of blocked drainages and canal leading to the flooding in the entire area and subsequently displacing some of the residents of the affected houses.
There was no loss of life, the LASEMA Response Team and neighbours assisted in rescuing some of the trapped victims which include children and an old woman identified as Mrs Bello.
The General Manager LASEMA Mr. Michael Akindele advised residents to avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse leading to blockage of canal and the drainages affecting the free flow of water especially during the heavy downpour in the state.

I can't see the rescue team here ,all me could see is some civilian doing the job as the case in Nigeria where passerby voluntarily lend hand to people in desperate need of help ,it's our tradition but for these lazy paid for nothing no skillful or technical experience in rescuing to claim credit is understatement to say the least .
Spare me
