BURNLEY VS ARSENAL
         16:30 PM WAT
          02/10/2016

A day after he celebrates his 20th anniversary at Arsenal Arsene Wenger will know exactly what gift he wants from his in-form players: a comfortable three points from their trip to Burnley.

The past week has seen Arsenal produce football on a par with much of the best played in Wenger’s reign but it is now up to the Gunners to prove they have the consistency that will be needed to keep up with early pace-setters Manchester City.

Burnley have started impressively on their return to the top flight and victory over Watford last week took them to a tally of seven points from their first six games. Sean Dyche’s aerial attack could be of particular concern to Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi.

But in truth Arsenal will be disappointed with anything less than a win at Turf Moor on Sunday.

TEAM NEWS
Wenger has no fresh injury concerns from his side’s 2-0 win over Basel but nor will he be able to welcome back any of those who have absent over recent weeks, with the exception of Olivier Giroud who was suspended for the Champions League game.

Giroud left out of France squad as he struggles for Arsenal minutes
Giroud, who was left out of Didier Deschamps’ France squad, may miss out again though, with Wenger stating before Wednesday’s game only that he was “not available”.

Aaron Ramsey, Francis Coquelin, Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck all remain unavailable to Wenger, who is likely to make just one change from the side who won in midweek – Petr Cech replacing David Ospina in goal. That will mean a first Premier League start for Granit Xhaka since late August.

Dyche has a near clean bill of health with his squad but will once more be without Andre Gray as he continues to serve his four match ban handed to him by the FA.
