US based Nigerian entrepreneur and activist, Amb Dion Osagie, advocated that politicians (especially the next governor of Edo state) -should be sworn in with traditionally in addition to the bible. The Benin indigene said this will reduce the rate of corruption because politicians fear tradition and take it seriously.

This has caused a heated debate online. See below;

Lets hear from you what you think of the proposal

SEE HOW FOOLISH AND IGNORANTS  HUMAN BEINGS ARE. THERE WERE THOSE IN OUR COMMUNITIES BOTH MEN AND WOMEN THAT SWEARED TO ONE SHRINE AND OTHER, AFTER THE DEED, THEY GO AND NUTRALIZED IT, IN THE SHRINES OF STRUNGER SHRINES.
  PEOPLE ARE FOOLISH AND IGNORANTS TO THINK THIS WILL WORK

What a pity ! Corruption has slowed ,detailed and impeded our nation human and environmental development .Nigerisns are no more eager to work hard for success but rather seek the easiest way to amass wealth .The effect of corruption in our society has brought us down to our kneels ,and now our nation is  stuffed and tugged in recession ,all of these is the dividend of corruption .Students are reluctant to study ,workers are not dilligebtjy working ,politicians no more serve the nation and everyone has missing the road to Nigeria fortune but embrace selfishness and greed at expense of the nation . Nija Na wao !

The priest that made the thing will also unlock the thing when he sees money.
God is the highest power and am sure they will not escape the judgement somehow, sometime, someday

imagine ridiculing Christianity. the truth is that God is merciful and gives time to repent that is why politicians can mess up.

I'm fully in support of this, this has really worked in Asia countries, that why the level of corruption in these countries is so low, I personally witnessed the swearing in of an elected politician in Singapore in 2001, this guy was made to kneel in front of Buddha to swear on oat, in fact when you see the kind smoke wey dey comot for the image (Buddha) ears and nose fear go catch you.
It's bin adopted in China, Thailand and even Hong Kong as well.
Our politicians are no longer afraid of Jesus Christ or mohammed anymore. It's time to send them to Isango merciless god of thunder for swearing in.
