In this period of fuel scarcity, a lot has become enshrined. Some stations sell well above the regulated pump price, like N100 per litre, but dispense exact quantity displayed on the LCD; others display a pump price of N65 per litre and pump out questionable quantities.

Recently, I visited a major markerter and asked for N2,000.00 worth of fuel at the displayed rate of N65/litre. I was happy that I did not meet a long queue and when the pump displayed a figure above 30 litres as the quantity dispensed, I gladly paid. No sooner had I started the engine than my car guage showed me I had received about 17 litres!

On another occasion, I had the guage actually move up to full tank (and was satisfied); but when I had driven for about five minutes, it inexplicably came to half tank! (I had asked them to "fill" the tank and they did!). There were no leakages, inshort, no plausible explanation. I later heard there were stories about pumping air and filling the tank with it...

I am not an expert, but can someone tell me that this is not broad day light fraud endorsed by the elasticity of our all-accepting psyche?

Why not use those institutions to research into alternative energies that are sustainable and
renewable ?

Even the filth around us in the big cities can be turned into great power  resources  (Biogas).  as China does

Sometime ago, my mom and me stopped at a fuel station, and when it got to our turn in the queue of cars, she told the lady the quantitfy she wanted. Only for me to see that the lady did not start the meter from 0. She just continued with the readings from the previous transaction and stopped at the amount we asked for. I yelled out in surprise and told my mum, who then insisted that the lady does it right. That's watsup

bhl72, Naija fuel marketers are criminally minded, I beat trhem almost daily during the scarsity cos, I get my money the hard way, if you cheat me, I give you the hard way too. Pumping air, selling magic, diverting your attention ... etc is naija recipe for cheating.

Poverty is a sin. There are too many poor people among the population of 150million.By statistic 80°/ of the population are poor.Scams,419,occultism,invocations,transfer,flashing and Air pumping into tanks.....etc are all advertisement of poverty. The Government preaches poverty through stealing from the public, creating rooms for arm robbers, petite thieves, witchcraft, prostitution, Herbalist, unemployment of graduate ,..etc.Poverty is a sociable malady in Nigeria,it's infection on the Nigerian Government is incurable, wost than HIV/AIDS(corruptions) "Fuel get rich quick schemes" is but a little.

The worst part is that the government is not confused cos a confused people wouldn't know how to cargo out our money, they are very wicked leaders but surely,God will never 4give them cos they are the cause of all the bad things that are happening in this country,e.g.criminal ism,prostitution,419,hackers,drug pushers and so many of them.

yes ! they have different kinds, pumping of air,not wiping off old metre readings b4 fresh sales if u ar not watching & the likes. The question is do they really get rich perpetrating 'WAYO & JIBITI' Smiley I'd say getting riches that is not sustainable is worst than poverty.
