A Catholic Priest has been trailed with criticisms and mixed reactions from several Nigerian Christians on social media after he was pictured participating in a public event with idol worshipers. According to a Facebook user, Emeka Promise who posted the photos, a Priest of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in the Ukpo area of Nnewi in Anambra State, has been pictured publicly dancing with idol worshipers and their masquerades. What makes them Idol worshipers? the white man that brought religion to you did not throw away his cultural heritage. Today you have condemned everything we have just because our religious fanaticism meanwhile we are still the most wicked and most insincere people in the world. Please differentiate between religion and celebration, religion has never and will never condemn culture and traditional celebrations, all you need to do is jettison practices that are akin to idolatry worship, albeit just refine your cultural celebrations and practices to fit with modernity vis-a vis your religion. I wonder the idol you claim these peiople are worshipping by wearing mask and masquerade wears and dancing?
