Shocking! Church Building Collapse During Service - Many Members Feared Death

A church building in Uyo, Akwa Ibom  State on Saturday collapsed during the consecration of its pastor as a Bishop, leaving many worshippers trapped.







Reports said that the Reigners Bible Church located at Uyo Village road, off Barrack road was filled to capacity when the disaster occurred.

The state governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, was expected to attend the consecration, but sources said he was not at the church when it collapsed.

Rescue workers are battling to evacuate victims.

The number of fatalities could not be ascertained as of the time of this report.
