Kenyans are mad after a video emerged showing a female officer in Brooke area, Kericho county assaulting a female driver. In the video doing rounds on social media, the officer is seen physically harassing the motorist and pushing her back and forth after she refuses to cooperate.
When the officer sees another person recording the video, she turns around to attack them too. Reports by the police claim that the woman was indeed speeding and that she refused to hand over her car keys to the officer when asked to. We can’t exactly know if that was true since plenty of people have been wrongfully accused in the past. Either way, the cop should have taken noble measures to handle the situation or asked for help. This traffic police officer is said to be currently suspended. In a statement to media outlets, Kericho police commander said.
