Mrs. Ezenna Paul Theresa, 33, who was accused of selling her younger sister’s baby girl for N50,000 has given a shocking revelation behind her action.

In her confession to P.M.NEWS, Ezenna who has been married for 15 years without a child said she prefers that all members of her family should be childless like her.

The accused, who claimed that her husband lives abroad but has several boyfriends, revealed that she wanted her sister, Gladys Uju, 27, mother of the baby, to be childless like her, hence her decision to sell off the baby.

“When she told me that the man responsible for her pregnancy was on the run, I was happy and I invited her to come and stay with me  at Akande Village, Ayobo. She came and started living with me with her pregnancy.

“When she delivered, I discussed with a woman who linked me up with a Ghanaian woman who bought the baby for N50,000. I took N30,000 and gave my friend (her accomplice) N20,000,” the suspect confessed.

Mrs. Ezenna, who was arrested after the incident was reported at the Ayobo Divisional Police Headquarters, gave herself up when she confided in their eldest sister, Mrs. Chineye Onuoha, 38, that she took the baby to a motherless babies’ home.

As at the time of this report, the Ghanaian who bought the baby could not be traced with the baby.

Lagos State Police Command spokesman, Frank Mba, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident.
