SEE part of the reasons. Even some things they stated here have gone up just within the few days they printed it and now. God help and bless Nigeria.
The much talked about One Voice Nigeria #IStandWithNigeria protest is currently holding at Lagos and Abuja at the National Stadium (Lagos) and Unity Fountain (Abuja). Celebrities including; Comedian Seyi Law and actor Baaj Adebule as well as Nigerians who have had enough with the unbearable hardship in the country are out to show support and cry for a change in the state of affairs.
Just in case you’re up on the ladder and don’t understand what this whole hardship talk is all about, let’s do a break down; a glimpse of current prices of goods in Nigeria; 12.5kg Gas from N2, 500 to N5, 300, 1Litre of Kerosene from N100 to N500, 1Litre of Petrol from N87 to N145… the skyrocketing goes on and on. See illustration below;Full list below...
A detailed look at the above illustration shows one clear fact, prices of goods have doubled, tripled and even skyrocketed many times over while salaries of the average Nigerian has either being decreased or outrightly being cut off with many others out of jobs following the down turn in the economy and therefore businesses. Yet we have a government who daily activities include basking in affluence and dishing out sweet promises of CHANGE.
One thing is certain, if this is what change is, status quo is bae!
#IStandwithNigeria, our voices must be heard!
