The wife of a Ghanaian footballer based in South Africa has allegedly committed suicide after her husband, Mohammed Anas, made a blunder in his post-match interview by dedicating his performance to her and his girlfriend. It Was reported that Anas who plays as a striker for Free State Stars, had scored two goals in a 2-2 draw against Ajax Cape Town and in the post match interview, begun by thanking God for his best performance, and went ahead to dedicate the two goals to his wife and girlfriend in what was been labeled by the press as the best man of the match speech.
Just after thanking his fans, things took a far-reaching turn when the 29-year-old Anas said:

“Thank you for this, I appreciate my fans. My wife and my girlfriend… I mean my wife, sorry.”
After the video went viral, it is alleged that Anas' wife drank a poisonous substance and died in the couple’s bedroom. Relatives found her lifeless body in their home in Ghana where she was based. It was not ascertained who the girlfriend was.
