A wealthy and popular man of God has left many people fuming after photos of his church members kissing his feet surfaced online. Flamboyant Ugandan Prophet, Elvis Mbonye was the cynosure of all eyes at his dinner held at Kololo Independence grounds on Friday when members shocked many by bowing to kiss his feet.

Mbonye who is worth millions of dollars and has a range of cars, mansions etc could be seen sitting on a gold chair as some church members came one after the other to kiss his feet.
The prophet who is valued at 650 million Ugandan shillings came to the event complete with chase cars and bodyguards. Members of his congregation obviously worship him.
Quote
“I have seen God and I will be answerable to Him. I do not get into people’s faces; they come to me...I’m not a pastor that I should frequently be with the sheep. As a prophet I decree the final thing,”
said Mbonye.
The charismatic pastor is quoted as saying that he has been to heaven, and to him, heaven was a glamorous place and so why would he live differently here on earth?
Quote
“Hell is stuffy, poor, sickly, and degrading. I have been to heaven and it is a glamorous place with streets of gold. All attributes about God are glamour and beauty and I’m of God, so I will unapologetically be always on the side of what is rich. I have heard shallow debates where politicians defend themselves for being in air-conditioned cars. You want me to be in a car where I sweat?, ”
said Mbonye.
Many people have lambasted the man of God as they accuse him of brainwashing people and earning praises for himself instead of God. His lavish lifestyle has been condemned too with many asking him to use the money he collects from his members to help the poor and needy in his church instead of lavishing it on himself.
