It is fair to say that 2017 has been a year to remember for Anthony Joshua, and it just keeps getting better for boxing's heavyweight king.

The 27-year-old Brit unified the division when he felled the mighty Wladimir Klitschko in a mouthwatering Wembley blockbuster back in April.

And following the announcement of his next fight, against mandatory IBF challenger Kubrat Pulev, Joshua claimed the prize of Sportsman of the Year at Tuesday night's GQ awards.

What a hypocrisy!!! Why calling a Yoruba Nigerian resident or Naturalised in UK a Brit because he is now a star. The same Yoruba Nigerian ( Adebanjo ) born and brought up in UK which made him a Brit was called a Nigerian just because he committed an act of Terrorism by cutting  a soldier head.

Anybody that does something bad will be disowned even by his own family, let alone an entire country. AN is British, he is doing well for himself and making proud of his Nigerian heritage, not his fault that other British of Nigerian heritage are disowned because they did evil stuff

Nigeria should always be grateful to all the countries that perfect the dreams of our sons and daughters to shine, academically, sports etc. Self-actualization is what drove many Nigerians away to foreign lands, therefore, if those countries make claims of our people, we should not cry wolf. Our country has failed the citizens and compelled many to flee for green pastures. Loss of human capital would continue to plague the country till we learn how to invest in human capital development.
